Exterior Home Facelift

A 1903 foursquare that was deemed worthy of tearing down by some when it was purchased in 1989 has been given a new lease on life.

The 1903 classic foursquare with a greek revival style pedimented porch and dormer was originally a 2 story house with raised "flood basement" for Sacramento's tendency to flood in the winter. The house remains exactly the same, but now includes additions of a full basement and attic living space. The stairs and porch have been completely rebuilt, as has the soffit, the box bay to the left and the front yard completely landscaped. Bricks came from the foundation that was replaced partially in 1989 and the rest in 1998. The triangular bay window to the right is the landing to the stairs.
