Basement Remodel

What was once a glorified crawl space with a dirt floor is now an in-law apartment, with its own entrance, kitchen, bath and laundry. It is currently used as a game room and place to watch movies.

Basement stairs are made of OSB - Oriented Strand Board - sanded and finished instead of being covered with carpet. The runner was chosen to harmonize with the slate at the bottom of the stairs and complement the natural wood tones.
