Basement Remodel
What was once a glorified crawl space with a dirt floor is now an in-law apartment, with its own entrance, kitchen, bath and laundry. It is currently used as a game room and place to watch movies.
The floor plan was left open, again for air flow and a nice, versatile use of space. Kitchen is laid out with IKEA cabinets, topped with inexpensive granite tile. Black and grey and stainless steel once again are the neutral tones that balance out the warm wood colors and leather-like concrete stained surfaces. Ceiling fans are the only cooling provided or needed in the basement.
