A new dream kitchen is born out of a disjointed series of odd shaped rooms and badly worn surfaces.
The use of warm tones of natural wood - seven different kinds (oak, maple, birch, alder, redwood, fir and pine) made the choice in appliances, fixtures and countertops easy - neutrals like stainless steel, black, white and chrome. The vintage dinette set came from an estate sale across the street. The black countertops at the sink side of the stove are "Paperstone" -- a solid surface made from recycled paper and resin.
